About
I am a certified Kundalini Yoga and Yoga Nidra Meditation teacher. I am also certified in Prenatal Yoga & Radiant Child Yoga. I currently teach at Yoga Village in Clearwater, Fl. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a MBA from the University of Tampa. I began practicing yoga in 1996 to help with a period of high stress and anxiety while working for the Defense Department. Yoga and meditation have become a way of life for me.
In 2020 I was hired by the Pinellas County School Board to teach Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga to both the students and teachers. I have worked with over 50 schools from K-12. The methods I use help to restore the nervous system reducing anxiety, promoting improved memory and creating a positive outlook.
It helps the children learn to self-regulate by reducing anxiety, decreasing behavior challenges and get better sleep. They develop more confidence, a positive outlook and an improved memory. They also increase their academic & sports performance.

Yoga and Meditation
Yoga & Meditation go hand in hand. Both are intended to calm the mind helping bring us into Union within ourselves. During my over 25 years of practice I have found these tools to be extremely beneficial to my mental and physical well-being. Because of my diverse training, I am able to bring these practical applications to your day to day life.
Schools
Preparation for a Meditation Session
We often use a carpeted room like a media center or music room. For larger groups we can use a gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria and even a theater stage. Staff conferences are a great place to bring this to your school.
The teachers and students can wear their regular clothing and bring a blanket, towel or yoga mat if they’d like to lie down during the guided meditation. Sitting in a chair is fine as well.
We will do a few gentle stretches then move into the meditation. No previous experience required. These simple techniques are accessible to everyone.
The sessions range from 15 to 45 minutes depending on what’s best for your group.
Remind the participants this is their time to unplug by silencing cell phones and watches. During meditation the body cools down. They may want to bring an extra sweater/blanket/wrap as an additional comfort measure. Then sit back and enjoy this effortless meditation.
Speaking Engagements
I have worked with several large school and corporate groups. I discuss the benefits of relaxation/meditation techniques and then lead them into simple mindfulness guided meditations.
I can tailor the workshop session to accommodate the time and space of your group. This will leave them with practical takeaways to reduce stress/anxiety throughout their day, promoting an overall better sense of wellbeing.
